A good bookworm is always…

prepared.

Reading material currently in the bookworm’s handbag

  • One novel (Eine kurze Geschichte des Scheiterns auf Japanisch – Fiona Campbell, translated by Damaris Brandhorst)
  • One news magazine (Der Spiegel)
  • One e-book (Poets, Artists, Lovers: A Novel – Mira Tudor) (review coming soon)

Leaving the house without something to read is unthinkable. Even if I know there is a 99% chance I will not read because I will be in company the whole time, I still like to know the option is there.

Remember that poem about cats? Here are some scribbles for the bookworm’s version:

“Bookworms read anywhere,
on a train, in a chair,
on a bus, on the stair
On the go, standing still,
lying down, up a hill
Anywhere, they don’t care!
Bookworms read anywhere.”
